Hunting with Chad and his team was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped on the boat, we were treated like family and made to feel completely at home. The service was excellent, and everyone was genuinely friendly and a joy to be around. The food was great every day, and was something we always looked forward to after a long day of hunting. We saw and harvested a lot of big deer each time we hunted with them, which made the trips even more memorable.

FAQs

What is a Hunt Transporter?

A hunt transporter provides transportation, lodging, and access to hunting areas but does not guide the hunt. We move hunters by boat and skiff to shoreline access points, provide a safe and comfortable place to stay, and support you throughout the week while you hunt independently.

See our Hunt Transporter Page for more info…

What’s included in the hunt package?

Your package includes private stateroom lodging aboard the F/V Valiant, heat, hot water, home-cooked meals, Wi-Fi, daily skiff transportation, and floatplane transfers between Kodiak City and the vessel. All personal hunting gear, licenses, and field equipment are the responsibility of the hunter.

Are your hunts guided or self-guided?

All hunts are self-guided (DIY). We operate as a licensed Alaska Hunt Transporter, meaning hunters plan and conduct their own hunts while we handle transportation, lodging, meals, and daily skiff access.

See our Hunt Transporter Page for more info…

How do I get to Kodiak Island and the vessel?

Most hunters fly into Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport (ADQ) via Anchorage. Alaska Airlines offers daily flights between Anchorage and Kodiak. We coordinate floatplane transfers from Kodiak City to and from the F/V Valiant, and provide daily skiff transport to shoreline hunting areas.

What species can I hunt on Kodiak Island?

Our transporter service supports Sitka black-tailed deer and mountain goat hunts on Kodiak Island, in accordance with Alaska regulations and seasonal availability.
